Vaccination Tracker App
Designed to simplify childhood immunization tracking for parents
Overview Closing the gap in childhood vaccinations through a simple yet powerful digital tool. This mobile app helps parents track vaccine schedules, identify gaps, and stay informed about new immunizations—empowering them to have more informed conversations with healthcare providers.
What I did
• Created wireframes and prototypes for both desktop and mobile platforms
• Collaborated on localization efforts, helping translate and adapt designs into Portuguese for user testing in Brazil (the initial launch market) • Presented design solutions and progress to stakeholders and clients

My Contribution
I collaborated closely with a UX Researcher and a Visual Designer to design a responsive web and mobile vaccination tracker for parents. The goal was to help parents stay on top of their children’s vaccinations while also providing accessible education about vaccine-preventable diseases.
Design Process
I created low-fidelity wireframes for key flows, including onboarding, educational content, the vaccine timeline, and account settings. Our UX Researcher conducted usability testing with parents in Brazil and Belgium, which informed design iterations and helped validate our approach.

User Research
Although I was not directly involved in conducting the user research, our team gained valuable insights through interviews and usability testing with Brazilian users and non-native English speakers. These findings highlighted the importance of localization, accessibility, and cultural relevance. In response, I collaborated with the team to adapt the interface for Portuguese-speaking users, ensuring clarity, accurate translation, and appropriate cultural context within the prototypes.

The success of this work led to a second phase, where Vaccination Tracker App was integrated into the Baby+ App as part of a rebranding project that I also go to be apart of—expanding its reach and functionality.
Final Thoughts
This project is one of my favorites due to the meaningful impact it has on parents. Keeping track of paper vaccination records can be a hassle, especially for parents with multiple children. By digitizing these records, we’ve provided real value—making it easier for parents to stay on top of their children’s vaccinations.
Working in a close-knit design team allowed me to learn from my colleagues, receive quick feedback, and collaborate effectively throughout the process. I also had the opportunity to present my design decisions to the client, and I was given the creative freedom to explore the best solutions for the MVP.
Given more time and budget, I would have loved to be more involved in usability testing, as I find it incredibly valuable to observe users in real time and better understand their pain points. I look forward to seeing this project grow and hope that future funding will enable the development of a native app.
